Errors, visual and sound installation and performance, in collaboration with Maxence Kölbl, 15 minutes, September 2018, Cabane B, Bern

This project explores the errors in the displaying of a computer program on a complex image and the disturbances created by the mixing of specific sound frequencies in space.

Maxence Kölbl used the Preview application to zoom in on an image of a veil in order to produce visual effects through program compression errors. The screen of her computer was projected live via a beamer, in order to allow a better visibility of the images and the process.

Laurent Perret-Gentil adjusted live the volumes of the constant frequencies assigned to four loudspeakers in order to create, by mixing sounds, sound disturbances. These are perceived differently, depending on the location of the spectator in the room.

Errors are created by minimal interactions with digital tools. The speed of interactions allows spectators to visualize the different phases of errors.
